The Coconut Condos Mission
We treat our guests with aloha, our owners as partners, our team as ohana, and our community as our kuleana.
Here at Coconut Condos, we believe that as a small business, it is not only our kuleana (responsibility), but our privilege to give back to our community. We have been blessed with so much and it is our desire to use our business to bless and improve the lives of others and letting our lights shine.
We have a three tiered giving plan to address the needs in our world: locally, nationally and internationally. Locally, we partner with Habitat for Humanity, Ka Hale A Ke Ola Homeless Resource Center, A Cup of Cold Water, and The Maui Food Bank. Nationally, we work with the Dream Foundation, and internationally, we partner with Compassion International.
Compassion International
“Helping release children from poverty one vacation rental property at a time.”
Compassion International is a Christian humanitarian aid child sponsorship organization dedicated to the long-term development of children living in poverty around the world. We sponsor one Compassion child for each of the condos we manage. We write to each of the children on a quarterly basis and consistently pray for their well being. If you wonder how this will make a difference in a childs life, click here and watch a first-hand testimonial of a woman, who through Compassion and her sponsor family, was able to defeat the cycle of poverty.
Please see below for the list of Compassion children we are honored to sponsor through this life-changing program.
Dream Foundation
We are so blessed to live on Maui and we know that not everyone can make this trip in their lifetime. We have partnered with Dream Foundation, to help make Maui dreams come true for the terminally ill. Coconut Condos has had the opportunity to help facilitate several Dream recipients since 2015. From our owners donating a weeks stay to the community coming together and donating anything from a wedding to a luau; it has been a truly inspiring experience to witness the generosity of our small West Maui community.

Habitat For Humanity: MAUI
Maui is one of the most expensive places in the United States to live, which makes purchasing a home out of reach for so many local residents. We donate a percentage of our profits to help fund local homes and housing projects for our community. Know that your booking helps better our community. To find out more information regarding Habitat for Humanity Maui, visit: www.habitat-maui.org. See below for some newsworthy events from our local newspaper, The Lahaina News.
Ka Hale A Ke Ola
The Coconut Condos team volunteers each and every month at Ka Hale A Ke Ola, our local homeless resource center. We supply and serve dinner and dessert and meet and talk story with these guests.
Ka Hale A Ke Ola is a comprehensive resource center that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing, adult education and training, counseling, a primary care medical clinic and facilities for child care. KHAKO is dedicated to serving the needs of the homeless and hungry on Maui by providing emergency food and housing, voicing their concerns, and empowering them to take responsibility for their own lives, and to call on the community to assist in these actions.
A Cup of Cold Water Maui
Coconut Condos is proud to partner with A Cup of Cold Water to recycle our retired linens and blankets for the local homeless population on Maui.
A Cup of Cold Water (ACCW) is a community Care-Van outreach program on the Island of Maui. The program is a food and clothing distribution service for the poor and needy in the community, and uses the care-van to deliver essential food, hygiene and clothing items throughout the island.
Maui Food Bank
Coconut Condos partners with our guests to donate unused nonperishable food to help the hungry in Maui County. Many guests find that they have leftover food items at the end of their stay. We provide a reusable bag in our vacation rentals for guests to designate those leftovers for the Maui Food Bank. Our inspectors bring those donations to our Maui Food Bank donation bin at our warehouse, where they are then collected and distributed by MFB.
The Maui Food Bank serves 10,000 people a month, including the working poor, children and youth, seniors, the homeless, and anyone who is at risk of going hungry. Maui Food Bank, through its network of 100 partner agencies and programs, distributes food to the needy in Maui County including the rural communities of Hana, Molokai and Lanai.
The Star Throwers
The Star Throwers are a group of vacation rental professionals realizing their full potential on travelers, communities, and the world.
